Certainly not well known outside of France; the Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellation is another region of many in France that deserve to be discovered. The wines are generally 100% Cabernet Franc but 10% Cabernet Sauvignon is allowed.
This wine displays a beautiful purplish color exemplified by a fresh and fruity nose. On the palate it is light but supported by round and fruity tannins.
A great alternative to Beaujolais with charcuterie.
