At the risk of sounding pretentious, "Fut De Chêne" means oak barrels. Therefore this wine has been aged in oak. The reason winemakers age wines in oak is to not impart an oak flavour, but to help the wine age a little quicker and therefore drink a little softer at a younger age.
The 2015 vintage is renowned for its intense fruit and drinkability.
Grilled meats, duck, and steak would be excellent pairings for this wine.
