For our purposes, all Beaujolais red wines are produced by the Gamay grape which is genetically similar to Pinot Noir but ripens even earlier and therefore does well in cooler climates. I judge a good Beaujolais by how much you can drink and still feel human the next day.
The "Cuvée Masfraise" impressed me with not only its drinkability but its' value!
Great for light summer drinking or with charcuterie.
